Our Health – and does the food that we buy affect it?

Are we all serious for our own Health & our family’s health? Yes, we all are! Isn’t it? Allow me to bust some myths and let’s introspect a very important Topic.

“Our Health – and how does the food that we buy affects it”?

In The new age era, we are always short on time for productive things and we have lot of time for unproductive things. We all want the best of Health and food for ourselves and for our family. But we don’t want to invest any time on the research of what Quality should we eat. Be it anything; Fruits, vegetables, other Grocery items, spices, Dry fruits etc. If we can’t afford the time for that much research, let me as a professional guide you.
But first remember “Every food particle or article that you consume has a direct impact on your health”.
Today, we will focus our discussion on “Cashew” or “Kaju” as it’s fondly called in Hindi Language and various factors that affects our buying behavior of Kaju.

  • Price

The first and foremost criteria when we purchase Kaju is its price. Every seller tries to lure a buyer by promising a good quality at cheapest price, which is not possible in case of Kaju, except when there are some promotional schemes on which the purchase may have been done by seller. We need to understand the difference between the festive, marketing, promotional discount vis-à-vis attracting the buyer in the name of better quality at cheap price. Good quality doesn’t come cheap. Yes, it doesn’t. For example, a Jewellery store may not charge you making charges on some piece of Jewellery to attract you during some festival, but they wouldn’t compromise on the price of Jewellery itself. Most of the people are unable to understand this and they fall prey to cheap marketing tactics and end up buying inferior cashew in name of cheaper price. This in turn affects their health and leads to multiple expenses on health issues. So, let’s stop getting biased with Cheap Prices.

  • Color

  • Another prominent criteria that we have in mind when we buy cashew is its color. We all want White Kaju, because that’s what has been taught to us by a clever salesman. And for color, we all are at times compromise on its taste. A Kaju which is Creamish (off White) may be still better than White one. Off white Cashew may have more nutritional value than white one, as there are several factors that decide the quality like soil etc.? So, stop getting biased with color.
  • Size

  • Do you get biased with size of cashew? Yes, we all do! But the question is does the size of cashew can determine its Nutrition or guarantee its taste. There may be a possibility that a bigger cashew was processed and stored for months before you picked it whereas a smaller cashew is Fresh and thus more beneficial. We all agree that mini size bananas are sweeter than large bananas. So stop getting biased with its Size.
  • Finish of Kaju – All of us get biased with finishing of Kaju too. We are habitual of picking stuff that looks good, very good. This rule may apply on garments but not necessarily on Eatables especially Kaju. A raw cashew from a very good soil may be bad in its shape, small in its size, appear with wrinkles but those are the cashews that are great for our health.
  • Dilemma on how much quantity that we should buy –
At times we end up buy more than we need for us and our families because we got it really cheap. Very few understand, that this tendency should be avoided as the nutritional value of Kaju depreciates with time.
